This Privacy Policy explains how HuntCampaign("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our Service. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with applicable law, including South Africa's POPIA and, where relevant, the GDPR.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data — your email address and authentication details.
  • Profile data — the CV you upload and the information extracted from or entered into it (name, contact details, work history, skills, education, preferences, target roles and countries).
  • Usage data — jobs you save, score, or apply to; documents you generate; and basic technical logs needed to run the Service.
  • Payment data — handled entirely by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details.

2. How we use your information

  • to provide the Service — build your profile, find and match jobs, score them, and generate documents;
  • to operate your account, process subscriptions, and provide support;
  • to send you service messages and, if enabled, your weekly digest;
  • to maintain security and improve the Service.

3. AI processing

To score jobs and generate CVs and cover letters, relevant parts of your profile and the job description are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. This is necessary to deliver the core features you request. You may optionally supply your own AI provider key in Settings.

4. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage;
  • Vercel — application hosting;
  • Anthropic — AI processing (scoring and document generation);
  • Adzuna, Jooble, and company ATS providers — job listing sources;
  • Resend — transactional and digest email (if enabled);
  • our payment provider — subscription billing.

These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside your country. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, after which we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain limited records for legal or accounting reasons.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@huntcampaign.com.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including access controls and encryption in transit — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
